THOMAS DUNFORD partner
From childhood, Thomas has enjoyed drawing, painting and building. Later, he combined these interests with a love for nature in his work as a student of Landscape Architecture at Utah State University. After graduating, he interned at JSA Architects in Salt Lake City. He also worked in the fields of graphic design and fine art. The skills learned from these endeavors equipped him to create informed design solutions and communicate them clearly.
Understanding our role as stewards of natural resources led Thomas to develop a firm belief in the importance of responding to the natural systems around us. Being sensitive to those systems presents the opportunity to preserve and enhance the beauty of our living environment.
Thomas formed Kingbird Design as a way to do what he loves every day.

MEGAN DUNFORD design consultant
Plants, planning and the design process are what attracted Megan to the field of Landscape Architecture. She enjoys working with people and understands how they interact with their surroundings. Megan graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Advertising and Interpersonal Communication from Southern Utah University and has recently finished her Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from Utah State University.
Megan fosters a deep love of flowers. This interest led her to own and operate her own floral business. She brings a talent for rich, colorful design to both cut-flower and in-the-landscape floral arrangements. Extensive knowledge of both native and adapted species gives her a large and varied palette from which to work. Her beautiful designs show sensitivity to both the environment and the needs of her clients.
